About LazyDawg

Actually, that’s kinda true, except that we rarely find the time to actually be LazyDawg(s)!
This web site first started as a way for me to keep my programming chops in shape. I would code up widgets in ASP, JavaScript, etc. as a way for me to learn new techniques and as a way to share info on my life with my family and friends.
As time went by I found it harder and harder to put time aside to practice my programming skills. So the site went stale, as I couldn’t keep up with the content either. Then this whole blog phenomenon caught on fire and I found myself even further behind the curve. People were putting up sites a lot faster and with a lot less hassle than what I was going through. Not only did I have to populate the content on LazyDawg, I had to code the widgets too!
Anyway, the technology got really good and I figured I’d stop trying to make everything myself and outsource…well, sorta. I moved this site to a Linux server and installed WordPress, the best blogging engine out there today. Now all I have to worry about is putting content up here. That, and making sure the graphics are kick-ass.
So there you have it - LazyDawg is no longer my cyber-playground. The good news though is that you can get our latest photos, updates and random thoughts. After all the time I spend on portlandvelo.net, its nice to write about something other than cycling!
Send me your feedback or comment on an article. And feel free to bust my chops if you feel the site is getting stale again.
Cheers-
Cai
